Are You Reading This? (hahaha inside joke)

even after these years (!) we can still meet up lapse into the general Bully-Jordan/Terence mood and talk and talk and talk with easy familiarity

some things don’t really change and in all honesty i am very glad for that :)

p.s seeee my blog is made up of more than just one-liner or one-photo entries

before june 2008 flies away for good

A Teaspoon of Courage

29 June 2008

just think about it

is it worth enough for a miss?

NO

absolutely not, because it’s much more than that to me

so

it’ll be a little lonesome and a little awkward and a little loser but then at least i think i’ll be happier than not going

yup a step forward good luck and it’s going to be okay

edited:

it is 309pm on a sunday afternoon and i am so horribly angry and frustrated and upset and most of all sad i would punch you in the face so bad and knock all your teeth out if you cross my path right now

i would.

fuck Hesitation

better sleep tonight please

23 June 2008

there are right now a hell lot of frog/cricket sounds which i have no idea as to why they are so loud and um a lot

the idea of a million frogs/crickets having a massive gathering (hear ye hear ye) somewhere near my house is terribly unappealing

and they are making Sleep all the less inviting

will try

from the reels of this record that i found

homesick, terribly

i miss you all

We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things

13 June 2008

jason mraz and his new album ‘We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things’

very much more experimental and mellow
all the same as always he sounds so absolutely comfortable
the words to his songs goes right straight through
at one fell swoop his music warms up your heart and makes you tingle beneath your own skin
(although of course, nothing beats him live)

and what a beautiful mess this is
it’s like taking a guess when the only answer is yes

and through timeless words in priceless pictures
we’ll fly like birds not of this earth
and tides they turn and hearts disfigure
but that’s no concern when we’re wounded together
and we tore our dresses and stained our shirts
but it’s nice today, oh the wait was so worth it

and guess what
I AM IN POSSESSION OF ONE, IN THE FLESH

awesome :)

mmhmm that’s right

Too Much Weight for Walking Shoes

5 June 2008

tonight was pretty damn funny

too many :Os ahahahahah

this thing about Losing

if you have lost, people come up to you and say ‘it’s okay, you did your best and that’s all that matters’

it is the most logical thing to do – for lessons to be learnt, for emotional recuperation, for life to move on

in truth i admit i have always thought (and still do) that Winning matters, a whole lot

for countless, countless situations, there is always a Win-Lose stake

and especially for what you have grown to attach your entire being onto, it’s pretty much impossible (however much you will it) to leave after having lost with a ‘it’s alright i did my best’ mentality

here i am, where i’ve been
i’ve walked a hundred miles in tobacco skin
and my clothes are worn and gritty
and i know ugliness
now show me something pretty

i think it takes a whole lot of courage to let go and really be fine with losing because as it is in life, you win some and you lose some

(although it’s not like i’ve been winning for the whole of my life, in fact it’s been quite the contrary)

and i aspire to reach that state of consciousness one day

after which, you make the best out of what you have left

A Comatose State of Depression

2 June 2008

bring back, bring back, oh bring back my telly to me, to me

bring back, bring back, oh bring back my telly to me

technological woes, :(

that aside, i just watched Super Size Me on the minisized television (the irony)

Photobucket

it documents Morgan Spurlock’s thirty-day diet on solely McDonald’s fast food, as well as his physical and psychological state which coincidentally deteriorates

also it depicts very much the power of advertising and marketing

and how the very fine line stands between business and ethics

a few points to note

- the McGriddles sandwich is one of the fattest sandwich McDonald’s has ever had

- the Super Size they used to have (eliminated just 6 months after this documentary aired, although McDonald’s claim that there is no relation of their action to the film whatsoever) is hugeass, like the packet of fries is as big as your face yo, something like that

- for every kid who develops diabetes before he or she reaches 15 years of age, they lose 17 to 25 years in their lifespan

- Don Gorske is a ‘Big Mac Enthusiast’ who has eaten over 20000 Big Mac burgers in his life

- Morgan showed several pictures to some kids, asking them to identify the people in them

they could all easily point out Ronald McDonald as the guy who brings you to eat Happy Meals

and then when a picture of Jesus Christ is shown, they have no idea who he is

(even though the image of Jesus Christ is not tangibly known, but still, i mean in reference to how He is usually portrayed)

ouch

- etcetcetc, go watch it yourself

this is insanely one of the most substantial albeit dangerous experiment for the cause against unhealthy eating and obesity in America

applause, my friends
