for the entire part of august that just went by i wished i were
a) a Russian giant (or of any other nationality i guess, as long as i am two metres tall)
b) a gymnastics spectator waving preferably USA and Japan flags etcetcetc
c) a ball-wiper (one who sits on a stool to wipe the volleyballs with a towel) or a floor-mopper (one who runs to clean the floor with a huge mop in synchronisation with five other floor-moppers)
yes, contentment goes a long way
the matches and performances were spectacular and along the way so many heroes in their own right emerged
most of all, the spirit of the games as well as the spirit of the will were and are still very, very inspiring :)
STANDING OVATION FOR THE ATHLETES PLEASE EVERYONE
coincidentally i just received a message from a friend and a part of it read, “don’t suffer from post-olympics depression!”
magawd i think i feel it kicking in…
